Stress / Trauma

Chronic stress and unresolved trauma can shape how we think, feel, and relate to others, sometimes long after the original experience. For many, trauma shows up not just in memory, but in the nervous system, relationships, sleep, and sense of self. You may notice strong emotions, difficulty sleeping or trusting others, or a persistent feeling of being overwhelmed. These patterns can lead to challenges with mood, identity, and connection, often seen in conditions like PTSD, insomnia, or certain personality disorders. Healing begins with listening to your body and mind with compassion, and gently building new ways to regulate, relate, and rest. If you’re feeling stuck or unsure where to start, you’re not alone. Together, we can work toward clarity, stability, and relief.

Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep disorder that makes it difficult to fall asleep, stay asleep, or return to sleep after waking. Over time, this can lead to fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and a diminished sense of well-being. Sleep disruption often has underlying causes, such as stress, mood disorders, trauma history, medical conditions, or medication side effects, and addressing those can support more restful, consistent sleep. If you're struggling with insomnia, you're not alone. Together, we can identify contributing factors and develop a plan that supports more restorative sleep and overall stability.

PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by witnessing or experiencing traumatic events. Flashbacks, nightmares, and heightened stress responses are common, making it hard to feel safe or grounded. Effective treatment can help manage these symptoms, allowing you to move forward with a renewed sense of stability and peace. If PTSD is holding you back, it’s time to take the first step toward healing and reclaim your life.

Personality Disorders

Personality disorders involve long-standing patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating to others that can create challenges in relationships, at work, and in emotional regulation. These patterns often develop in response to early life experiences and can feel deeply ingrained, even when they lead to distress. You might find yourself reacting strongly to perceived rejection or abandonment, feeling uncertain about your identity, or struggling with impulsivity, shame, or self-harming behaviors. These experiences often have roots in trauma, neglect, or emotional invalidation. While they can feel painful and isolating, they are also treatable. Whether you’ve received a diagnosis or recognize yourself in these patterns, healing is possible. Together, we can work to build insight, strengthen emotional resilience, and cultivate more flexible and compassionate ways of relating to yourself and others.
